Beaver Dam River Beginner Whitewater Paddle – Free Event!
August 10, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pmFree
GREAT NEWS EVERYONE – We are now getting official regular open to the public water flow adjustments from the Great City of Beaver Dam, WI. on the Beaver Dam River!
Beginner level whitewater (Class I). It is recommended that you have some paddling experience in swift moving water, able to read currents and dodge rocks of varying size.
Take advantage of this great contribution to the paddling community from the City of Beaver Dam. They will be setting the flow to a great paddling level for this run.
We will meet across the street from Annabelle’s Ice Cream Parlor (43.455364, -88.841442) no later than 10:00 AM. You can prep your boat on the grass alongside the river. It is part of Cotton Mill Park. We will be setting up the shuttle at 10:00 AM. Don’t be late. It should take about 2.5 hours to make the run.
This is the best river run for many miles in any direction.
Great opportunity to learn a little about whitewater paddling, with many sporty, splashy areas throughout.
