Boundary Waters Canoe Area

Ladies Only 7 Day Boundary Waters Canoe Trip

July 10 – 16, 2019

Grand Marais, MN

Trip Details:

Only 4 spots left available!

Join Nick Gordon and Kelly McDermott for a paddle through the vast Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota. This will be an epic trip with incredible scenery and wildlife opportunities. Local wildlife include moose, otter, beaver, wolves, eagles, coyote and much more.

Plan to drive up Wednesday, July 10th and meet at the designated location. We will stay the first night at a beautiful lodge and go over introductions, gear check, and the finer details of our route as a group. In the morning, we will load canoes and shuttle cars. There is a local outfitter that can provide any gear or last-minute items such as snacks, camping/fishing gear, batteries, etc.

We will paddle and portage many hours each day in very remote wilderness. There will be plenty of time to kick back and relax, swim, fish, write, etc. Meals will consist of hearty breakfasts, simple lunches, and group dinners cooked over campfire. Of course, we can eat as much fish as we like!

Difficulty: You don’t need to be an expert paddler by any means but this trip is not for first-time campers. You should be comfortable in a canoe and in the water. You should be able to provide sufficient clothing and personal gear as per the gear list. Everyone will need to help each other out when it comes to portaging gear and our lightweight canoes between waterways. The pace will be relaxed at times and challenging at others. Expect to paddle several hours a day and portaging over land when necessary. We plan to have a couple “zero travel days” during the week to relax, hike, swim, fish, etc.
